Altix

The Altix mount is used by a series of viewfinder cameras made in the 1940s and 1950s by Altissa. After World War II, Altix cameras came with interchangeable lenses from the likes of Carl Zeiss and Meyer Optik.

These cameras have manual focus and exposure with no focusing aid, which fell out of fashion in the 1950s with the rise of the SLR. Altix production was shut down when Altix became part of VEB Pentacon in 1958.
