Autofocus standard zoom lens made for Canon EF-S mount DSLR cameras by Sigma. 25-75mm equivalent focal length on 35mm full frame. Uses optical image stabilization (OS) and an ultrasonic (HSM) autofocus motor. Has an AF/MF focus switch, an OS ON/OFF switch, and a zoom lock. Plastic and metal body available in black.

Canon EF-S System

Canon’s EF-S system was announced in 2003 as the crop sensor variant of the standard EF mount. EF-S lenses are designed for DSLR cameras with APS-C sized sensors. The S in EF-S even stands for small!

EF lenses intended for full frame cameras can be mounted on EF-S bodies, but EF-S lenses cannot be mounted on EF bodies.
