Manual focus normal macro lens made for R-mount 35mm SLR cameras, introduced by Leica in 1972. This is the first version of the lens identifiable by its name ring located around the front element, and its use of Series VII filters. It is capable of a 1:2 magnification ratio without extensions, but was also available for sale with the 14198 extension tube, allowing it to have a 1:1 magnification ratio. The order number for the lens + tube is 11203. This lens has a 2-Cam mount. 2-Cam lenses have two sloped cams and are compatible with the standard Leicaflex and R-series cameras in stop-down metering mode only. They are not recommended to be used on the R8/R9. Metal body available in black (11205).
