Manual focus F-mount 35mm SLR camera released by Nikon in 1980. It was the first professional Nikon SLR to feature an electronically controlled shutter but it featured the same amount of customizable prisms, grips, and focusing screens as previous models. It was also the first of numerous Nikon F-series cameras to be styled by Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro and include a red stripe on the handgrip. This model is an F3 body with a DE-2 standard eye-level finder. Metal body available in black.
