Manual focus wide-angle lens made for M-mount rangefinder cameras introduced by Leica starting in 1968. This is a transitional/early model of the Type II with an infinity lock. The normal Type II 28mm Elmarit was not introduced until 1972. Like the normal Type II, this lens can be used with the M6, M5, and CL. Metal body available in black.
