Leica’s super wide-angle lens for Leica thread mount desingned and manufactured by Schneider-Kreuznach. The lens was first introduced in 1958 and still offers exceptional image quality with minimal distortion. Smallest and lightest lens for Leica rangefinder cameras. This lens is not compatible with Leica M5 and CL bodies because lens rear cell extends too far and might damage TTL metering system. Only approximately ~1462 LTM-mount Super-Angulons were made.
