Staff Notes

The mirror mechanism is squeaky. Light seals should be replaced. The program mode underexposes by 2.5-3 stops. It's otherwise in good working condition, the shutter speeds and overall exposure are within tolerances, and light meter is working.

Manual focus FD-mount 35mm SLR released by Canon in 1981. The camera’s main advantage over the AE-1 is access to full program mode. In this mode, the camera will set both aperture and shutter speed automatically based on the lighting conditions. The original price (60,000 Yen) is the equivalent of around 525 Euros in 2023.
