Staff Notes

The mechanisms have been cleaned, lubricated, and adjusted as necessary. The inner elements have been cleaned. It has coating damage and scratches inside as well as separation in the front element group that will lower overall image quality slightly. The lens is quite worn externally and is missing the red dot on the barrel.

Leica 50mm f2 Summicron-R (Type II) (3-Cam) (11215) - Lens

Manual focus normal lens made for R-mount 35mm SLR cameras introduced by Leica in 1976. This is the second version of the lens and was produced by Leitz Canada. It changed the optical formula and features higher contrast and improved flatness of the field. The design of the body changed and now incorporates a built-in lens hood and uses E55 filters instead of the older Series VI. This lens has a 3-Cam mount. 3-Cam lenses have two sloped cams and a third stepped cam and are compatible with all Leicaflex and R-series cameras. Metal body available in black (11215).
