Manual focus F-mount 35mm SLR camera released by Nikon in 1959. It was the first camera to use the F mount and has interchangeable accessories such as prisms, grips, winders, and focusing screens. The camera combines many uncommon features of the era, including mirror lock-up, depth-of-field preview, and an instant return mirror. The F was arguably the first truly successful SLR system and managed to take a significant portion of the professional market away from rangefinder cameras. This Photomic model has the T, TN, or FTN prism attached, allowing for TTL light metering. Metal body available in silver and black.
