Manual focus 35mm rangefinder manufactured by Canon, released in 1959. This is the black paint model. The P, which stands for Populaire, attempted to take the successful parts of Canon's previous rangefinders and put them all together (the "popular" features) while lowering costs. It was largely successful, and the P sold more than twice as many units as any other Canon rangefinder of this era. Metal body available in black paint.
