Manual focus wide-angle 6x6 medium format view camera introduced by Hasselblad in 1956 and manufactured until 1957. This is a slightly different model of the "Supreme Wide Angle" camera that was manufactured between 1954 and 1955. The cameras are essentially the same, but with minor changes in design. The most noticeable change is the nameplate. The Hasselblad Super Wide cameras utilize the 38mm f4.5 Biogon lens made by Carl Zeiss. A true wide-angle lens rather than a retrofocus design. This resulted in the lens being permanently attached to the camera body. The production number of both the SWA and SW cameras is less than 2000 in total. Metal body available in silver.
Lens: Carl Zeiss 38mm f4.5 Biogon (8 elements, 5 groups)
