Manual focus wide normal M-mount lens made for rangefinder cameras introduced by Leica starting in 1961. This was the first 35mm f1.4 Summilux that Leica made. It was made for the M2 and uses 7 spherical elements. This Type I lens uses E41 filters and the OLLUX 12522 hood. It was later changed in 1966 (Type II) to use Series VII filters and the 12504 hood. Metal body available in black (11869).
