Manual focus telephoto lens made for M-mount rangefinder cameras introduced by Leica in 1963. This was the first version of the lens. It has permanently attached goggles to zoom the finder's field of view to match the 135mm focal length. The viewfinder magnification is lifesize on the M2, M4, M5, M4-2, M4-P, and M6. On the M3, it is 1.4x. On early examples, the goggles are attached by screws, and the focusing ring is scalloped. On later examples, the googles are attached by a metal casting, and the focusing scale was changed to a fine knurled design. It has a front lens head that unscrews for use with the Visoflex system (11827). It has a built-in lens hood. Metal body available in black (11829)
