Manual focus 35mm F mount SLR released by Nikon in 1980. The biggest improvement to previous models was the electronically controlled shutter. The advantages of the electronically controlled shutter are automatic exposure (AE), and its ability to hold an accurate long-time exposure. The F3 HP is an F3 with the DE-3 High-Eyepoint finder. Metal and plastic body available in black.
