Canon 50mm f0.95 - Lens
Canon Rangefinder Lens
Canon Rangefinder Lens
Average Certified condition price
Manual focus normal lens made for Model 7 rangefinders by Canon starting in 1961. It's often referred to as the "dream lens" due to its soft, dreamy rendering at f0.95. At the time of its release it was the fastest still photography lens ever made. It cannot mount on any other camera than the Canon 7 or 7s because it uses a proprietary breech-lock bayonet rather than the standard M39 screw mount. The original price (57,000 Yen) is the equivalent of around 1925 Euros in 2024. Metal body available in silver/black.
