Manual focus telephoto lens made for FD-mount SLR cameras introduced by Canon in 1981. It is part of the top-of-the-line L series. This is the latest design, which uses the new mounting system and utilizes both UD glass and fluorite crystals, artificially grown to suitable sizes (for use in photographic lenses), to minimize secondary spectrum aberrations. Metal body available in white.
