Manual focus normal zoom lens made for R-mount 35mm SLR cameras introduced by Leica in 1988. This is the second version of the lens. The production moved from Japan to Germany. The front optical system and filter threads no longer rotate during lens focusing, making the use of polarizing filters much more enjoyable. It has a built-in retractable lens hood and uses E67 screw-in filters. This lens has a 3-Cam mount. 3-Cam lenses have two sloped cams and a third stepped cam and are compatible with all Leicaflex and R-series cameras. Metal body available in black (11248).
