Leica Torpedo Finder (VISET/VISIL) - Accessory

Leica Finder / Focus Screen

Accessory viewfinder introduced by Leica in 1931. Many versions of the torpedo finders with different combinations of frame lines were produced over the years. This one has frame lines for 3.5cm, 5cm, 9cm, and 13.5cm lenses. Later versions introduced parallax correction. This version is most commonly known under the codename VISET (Books by Dennis Laney) but occasionally as VISIL (The books of Kazuo Nakagawa and James L. Lager). Metal body available in black paint (VISET/VISIL).
