Manual focus normal lens made for F-mount 35mm SLR cameras introduced by Nikon in 1974. An AI'd version of the otherwise same lens. This is a "K" type lens with a modern appearance similar to later AI lenses. Two versions of the "K" lenses were made from 1974 to 1977. The first version has the same optical formula as the older F style 50mm f1.4 lenses. The later version from 1976 (also referred to as the "New" version) has a slightly more compact design and different optical formula of 7 elements in 6 groups that carried over to the AI lenses. Metal and plastic body available in black.
