Manual focus M-mount 35mm rangefinder camera introduced by Leica in 2003. This is a new modern version of the original MP from 1956. This time, the “MP” stands for “Mechanical Perfection”. It features fully mechanical controls akin to the M3 and a built-in TTL exposure meter similar to that on the M6. It is compatible with the LEICAVIT-M rapid film advancer accessory. Leica offered these cameras "à la carte" for a period, allowing customization of colors, features, finders, and materials. The available viewfinder magnifications were: 0.58x, 0.72x, and 0.85x. This is the 0.85x version with frame lines for 35/135mm, 50/75mm, and 90mm. Metal body available in black paint (10306).
