Manual focus telephoto lens made for F-mount 35mm SLR cameras introduced by Nikon in 1977. It was the world's first practical fast super-telephoto prime lens. It has a focus click-stop ring allowing the focus to be limited at any focus distance. It also has a built-in lens hood and uses rear drop-in 39mm filters or 122mm front filters. The lens sold for $1,500 when it was introduced in 1977. That is the same as $7,600 in 2023. Metal body available in black.
