Manual focus normal lens made for M-mount rangefinder cameras introduced by Leica in 1994. This is the third version of the collapsible Elmar design for the M system. It was initially released as a limited edition and sold together with the M6j but became a standard lens in the Leica catalog in 1996. The lens is a complete redesign from the older version with better overall performance and a new design. It cannot collapse into the M5 and CL due to their internal metering systems of the cameras. Metal body available in silver.
