Manual focus semi-wide-angle lens made for Hasselblad V cameras, introduced by Carl Zeiss for Hasselblad. Introduced in 1958 shortly after the 500C and discontinued in 1961 with the introduction of the f4 version. It gives the equivalent field of view of a 33mm lens on full frame/35mm. It is known to have good optics but poor focusing capabilities in low light due to the small maximum aperture. An estimated production of 1500-2000 lenses was manufactured. The lens needs to be attached to a body for the depth of field preview button to work. It uses drop-in Series 63 filters held in place with a retaining ring. Some early examples do not have a field-of-view preview button. Metal body available in silver.
