Leica M3 (Double Stroke)

Manual focus M mount 35mm rangefinder camera released by Leica in 1954. The M3 was the first M-mount Leica camera and introduced several features not seen on earlier screw-mount cameras, including a combined rangefinder/viewfinder and a film advance lever. The M3 has a 0.92x magnification viewfinder with 50mm, 90mm, and 135mm frame lines that switch automatically when the appropriate lens is mounted. Early models had double-stroke advance levers to reduce the risk of tearing the film. It requires two pulls of the advance lever to wind the film properly and cock the shutter. Metal body available in silver grey and black.
