Manual focus SR/MD-mount 35mm SLR camera released by Minolta in 1974. This was the prosumer option sold alongside the professional X-1. Developed jointly by Minolta and Leica. Capable of aperture priority AE as well as manual operation. This is the American model. It was also sold as the XE in Japan and the XE-1 in Europe. Metal body available in silver.
