View full detailsRobot was a long-standing camera manufacturer from Germany who produced unique clockwork cameras from the 1930s onward. These cameras were defined by unusual formats (many Robot cameras take 24x24mm square images) and by their spring-loaded shutters.
These special shutters allowed Robot cameras an early form of continuous shooting, where multiple shots could be pre-wound and taken in quick succession. While this limited the Robot's mass appeal, it secured them a niche that would remain unchallenged for years to come.
