The ZIAG Contessamat is a low-end version of the Zeiss Ikon Contessamat. ZIAG stands for Zeiss Ikon Aktiengesellschaft, or, essentially, Zeiss Ikon Ltd. ZIAG cameras were marketed and sold only in regions where Carl Zeiss Jena (East German) had the rights to the name Carl Zeiss.
