Manual focus normal zoom lens made for R-mount 35mm SLR cameras introduced by Leica in 1983. It was made in collaboration with Minolta and is stamped "Lens Made In Japan". It has a built-in retractable lens hood and uses E60 screw-in filters. The optical system and filter thread rotate when focusing, so the use of polarizing filters is not recommended. This issue was eliminated with the second version introduced in 1988. This lens has a 3-Cam mount. 3-Cam lenses have two sloped cams and a third stepped cam and are compatible with all Leicaflex and R-series cameras. Metal body available in black (11244).
