Introduced in 1969 for Pentax 6x7 system. The 600mm f4 is a massive and very heavy lens with huge glass elements. Instead using focusing ring the lens has adjusting knobs on the back of the lens. It has full metal construct with built-in lens hood. In 1971 Pentax made a newer version of the lens with SMC coatings.
