Autofocus wide angle lens made for F mount SLRs by Nikon starting in 1989. This lens was one of the first autofocus lenses produced by Nikon and uses the same optical formula as the AI-S version released in 1984. Autofocus requires a body with a built-in focus motor. Has the AI ridge and AI-S indent, so will meter on most manual Nikon cameras (excluding F, F2, and Nikkormats) and will work with advanced program modes. Plastic and metal body available in black.
