Leica 35mm f2.8 Elmarit-R (Type I) (2-Cam) (11101) - Lens

Manual focus wide normal lens made for R-mount 35mm SLR cameras introduced by Leica in 1964. It is a retrofocus design and has an angle of view of 63 degrees. When it was initially introduced, it was available in a silver barrel. This was quickly changed to a black barrel as the light reflected on the silver affected the metering accuracy. Only 200 lenses were ever produced in silver. This lens has a 2-Cam mount. 2-Cam lenses have two sloped cams and are compatible with the standard Leicaflex and R-series cameras in stop-down metering mode only. They are not recommended to be used on the R8/R9. Metal body available in black (11101).
