35mm manual focus SR/MD-mount SLR camera released by Minolta in 1972. Advanced auto-exposure capabilities for the time, especially for a system cameras. No available motor drives besides a separate model with integrated one, unlike it's competition. 11 interchangeable focusing screens and 6 finders available. Has the failed Senswitch system for saving battery that required you to hold down a switch on the front of the camera to turn the light meter on. Sold as X-1 in Japan and XK in North America. Metal body available in black finish.
