Manual focus normal lens made for M-mount rangefinder cameras introduced by Leica in 1949. The 5cm f1.5 Summarit is a coated version of the older 5cm f1.5 Xenon from 1939. The early examples have a movable aperture index and a fixed aperture scale; later examples have it reversed. The early examples also used bayonet filters, while later examples use E41 screw-in filters. It is occasionally seen with a factory-fitted screw-to-bayonet adapter, indicating that the lens was initially built upon the chassis of the LTM M39 mount version (SOOIA / 11020). Metal body available in silver.
