Manual focus telephoto lens made for R-mount 35mm SLR cameras introduced by Leica in 1966. Leica made two versions of this lens. This first version of the lens has a tripod mount and uses Series VIII filters held in place by ring 14165. It has a built-in lens hood and a 14-degree angle of view. It is quite a heavy lens, resulting in Leica extending the tripod base in 1970 by 10mm to ensure optimal support. This lens has a 3-Cam mount. 3-Cam lenses have two sloped cams and a third stepped cam and are compatible with all Leicaflex and R-series cameras. The lens was manufactured both in Germany and Canada. Metal body available in black (11919).
