Autofocus telephoto zoom lens made for EF-mount SLR cameras by Canon starting in 1998. It is part of their L series of professional lenses. It was the first L-series zoom lens to feature image stabilization (IS), and it also uses Canon's Ultrasonic Motor (USM) for autofocus. The feel of the push-and-pull zoom function can be tightened or loosened according to user preference. Metal body available in white.
