Manual focus wide-angle lens made for LTM M39 thread mount 35mm rangefinder cameras by Leica starting in 1936. The lens was manufactured in several versions over the production period from 1935 until 1952. This is the second version, the so-called wartime HOOPY-CHROM version. It was offered in a chrome body and used the European aperture sequence: 6.3, 9, 12.5, 18, 25. Approximately 8037 units were produced. Production of this version stopped in 1942. Metal body available in silver (HOOPY-CHROM).
