Manual focus LTM/M39 mount 35mm rangefinder released by Canon in 1959. The P, which stands for Populaire, attempted to take the successful parts of Canon's previous rangefinders and put them all together (the "popular" features) while lowering costs. The original price (37700 Yen with a 50mm f2.8) is the equivalent of around 1500 Euros in 2024. Metal body available in silver.
