Packing & Shipping

How to Pack Your Gear for Sale or Trade

Follow these packing guidelines to ensure your photo equipment arrives safely at our shop.

Packing Requirements

Treat your gear like fragile porcelain. Use proper cushioning materials such as bubble wrap, packing paper, or newspaper to protect each item during shipping.

If You Have the Original Box

Having the original box is excellent! It's custom-fitted to your product and offers superior protection. However, the original box alone is not sufficient for shipping:

  • Wrap your item and place it in the original box
  • Place the original box inside a larger outer shipping box
  • Fill the space between the two boxes with cushioning material (bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or crumpled newspaper)

If You Don't Have the Original Box

  • Choose a shipping box large enough to accommodate your item plus a generous layer of cushioning on all sides
  • Wrap each item individually with bubble wrap or packing paper
  • Place wrapped items in the center of the box
  • Fill all empty spaces with cushioning material

Do not overpack, but be sure to fill all empty spaces in the box to limit the movement of items during transportation. Be sure not to leave any empty space inside the box. Pad all areas to limit the movement of items during transportation.

All shipments are insured. However, please note that the insurance does not apply if the damage is a direct result of inadequate packing.
