Leica 35mm f2 Summicron-R (Type I) (3-Cam) (11227) - Lens

Manual focus wide normal lens made for R-mount 35mm SLR cameras introduced by Leica in 1970. It has a retrofocus design and was especially recommended for color photography under low-light conditions. When it was initially introduced, it was available in a silver barrel. This was quickly changed to a black barrel as the light reflected on the silver affected the metering accuracy. Only about 200 lenses were ever produced in silver. This lens has a 3-Cam mount. 3-Cam lenses have two sloped cams and a third stepped cam and are compatible with all Leicaflex and R-series cameras. Metal body available in black (11227).
