Entry level version of the SFX, released by Pentax in 1988 as their third AF SLR. Has a large LCD on the back of the prism, and a powerful built-in flash. Capable of all four PSAM modes (Program, Shutter/Aperture Priority, Manual).
- Shutter: Vertical metal focal-plane, 30s - 1/2000s, plus B.
- ISO Range: 25 - 5000 via DX coding.
- Continuous shooting: 2 frames per second
