  • Scanning speed

Most users can scan minimum 240 frames per hour with the easy35.

Common alternative scanning solutions will scan maximum 40 frames per hour.

  • Professional quality

The easy35 will give you professional-grade quality at home, unlike other home scanning solutions. You can achieve that with almost any digital camera. This avoids having to rescan your archive later.

  • Flexible solution

Whether you have 35mm negatives or mounted slides, the easy35 will help you. Just get the right film holders and insert them into the easy35.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy...

Did you know the VALOI easy35 was designed to be quick to set up, easy to use and fail safe? Made by and for photographers.

What do I need to start?

easy35 and accessories

The easy35 comes with everything you need for scanning 35mm negative film - a light source, a film holder for 35mm film, a mounting set to adjust for the use of your camera and lens setup.

Add the 35mm Slide Holder to start scanning mounted slides too.

Digital camera

Almost any digital camera will do - film scanning does not require the newest camera. You just need a camera with a removable lens to get great results.

Macro lens

A one-to-one (1:1) macro lens is required to scan film. This allows the lens to focus close enough to see the whole frame and get the best quality.

Focal lengths between 50mm and 105mm, with lenses marked "macro" and a fixed focal length (non-zoom) are generally suitable. Get in touch if you're unsure: hello@valoi.co or scroll down to learn more.

Computer or iPad

A computer (Windows or Mac) or an iPad can be used with various dedicated software to convert negatives into final images.

Slides can be scanned as JPGs in camera and no computer is needed, but negatives require processing to become final images.

  • Compact

The easy35 is about the size of a water bottle, making it perfect for those with limited space or who want to bring their scanning station with them.

  • Fast

With the easy35, scanning a roll of 35mm film is only a matter of minutes.

  • Built-in Light

The easy35 comes with a built-in light source. The 95+ CRI light source gives your scans accurate colors, even exposure and faster shutter speeds when scanning.

  • Quality Materials

The easy35 is made from quality plastic that is designed to last decades without losing its functionality and usability.

  • Replaceable Holders

The easy35 gives you the ability to change film holders in a matter of seconds. A 35mm slide holder allows you to scan mounted slides.

  • Fits most cameras and lenses

The easy35 is compatible with almost every macro lens available. It takes 62mm filter-threaded lenses by default, but with included step-up/down rings it can be used with almost any macro lens.

What about larger formats?

Sometimes you need to scan larger film, such as the commonly 120 format. VALOI also makes the easy120 for medium format 120 film and smaller sizes - also compatible with 35mm film with the 35mm added holder.
