Manual focus fast long telephoto prime lens for FD mount SLR cameras released by Canon in 1981. Part of the top-of-the-line L series. This is the latest design which used the new mounting system and utilized both UD glass and fluorite crystals, artificially grown to suitable sizes (for use in photographic lenses), to minimize secondary spectrum aberrations. Metal body in white finish with black leatherette and a red stripe.
