Includes:

• 1x VALOI Advancer frame
• 2x VALOI M4 thumb screw for fastening holder
• 8x red VALOI rollers

This kit is not a complete product but an upgrade kit for those who already own a v1 Advancer. The v1 Advancer is any Advancer that was bought before 15th of May 2024, and includes the original v1.0 as well as the v1.3 revision (distinguished by having red rollers). Original axles and feet can be used on the v2. If you have v1, end-screw mounted knobs, please include the v3 Knob found HERE.

The upgrade kit provide three primary benefits:

• You can now lock down the film holder using two thumb screws that press it into the frame. This ensures it stays in a consistent position, improving consistency.
• The tabs holding onto the masks located under the holder are now increased in number from 4 to 6. This improves stability of the mask and makes it less fiddly to put in place.
• If you are coming from a v1.0 Advancer: It comes with higher roller pressure than the v1.0 version and includes the new softer red rollers increasing grip on the film and ease of movement 

The purpose of this kit is to upgrade your pre-v2 Advancer to the latest standard and it is compatible with all scanning kits

Overview of different Advancer versions

v1.0

Shipped during the Kickstarter in 2022 until approximately spring 2023.

• Black quite hard rollers
• The knob was fastened from the end with a phillips head screw (many units will have been upgraded to v2 knobs that are fastened from the side)
• The accessory screw holes on the front and back of the Advancer are placed in the middle of the plate. 
• Some units had issues with low roller pressure.

v1.3

Shipped from spring 2023 to mid-May 2024.

• Shipped with red softer rollers
• The knob was the new v2 type, with a fastening on the side using a set/grub screw
• The accessory screw holes on the front and back were placed further down to lower the Duster
• The roller pressure was increased and units should not have problems with that.

v2

Version shipping from mid-May 2024.

• Ships with red softer rollers (same as v1.3)
• Has a larger screw on the knob due to the smaller screws having issues with stripping (not included in upgrade kit)
• Has 6 tabs instead of 4 in the frame for holding the masks in place
• Has 2x M4 threaded holes on-top for tightening down the holder, and ships with 2x M4 thumb screws to fit in those holes.
