Manual focus wide-to-telephoto zoom lens made for R-mount 35mm SLR cameras introduced by Leica in 1990. The lens was developed in collaboration with Sigma. It features a built-in retractable lens hood and uses E60 screw-on filters. The optical system and filter thread rotate when focusing, so the use of polarizing filters is not recommended. This lens has a 3-Cam mount. 3-Cam lenses have two sloped cams and a third stepped cam and are compatible with all Leicaflex and R-series cameras. Metal body available in black (11265).
