Leica 35mm f2 Summicron (Type I) (8-Element) (Silver, SAWOM / 11308) - Lens

Manual focus wide normal lens made for M-mount rangefinder cameras introduced by Leica in 1958. This was the first version of the 35mm Summicron that Leica released for the M2 and M1. This version has an 8-element optical formula and is often referred to as the "v1 8-element" Summicron. It was initially named SAWOO-M but later changed to SAWOM. It is occasionally seen with a factory-fitted screw-to-bayonet adapter, indicating that the lens was initially built upon the chassis of the LTM M39 mount version (SAWO / 11008). Metal body available in silver.
