Manual focus telephoto lens made for R-mount 35mm SLR cameras introduced by Leica in 1964. Leica made two versions of this lens. This is the first version that uses Series VII filters and has a multistage built-in lens hood. Lenses after serial number 2809001 use E55 filters and the Elpro 3 close-up attachment instead of the Elpro VIIa. This lens has a 3-Cam mount. 3-Cam lenses have two sloped cams and a third stepped cam and are compatible with all Leicaflex and R-series cameras. Metal body available in black (11239).
