35mm manual focus M42 mount SLR camera released by Pentax in 1973 and discontinued in 1976. First version in the Spotmatic line of cameras to offer open-aperture metering, which requires newer Super-Multi-Coated Takumar lenses with an aperture-position linkage to the camera. Is backwards compatiblily with all earlier Takumar lense. Has a light meter, a self timer: 6 to 12s and FP and X flash terminals (1/60s). Metal body available in silver.
