Manual focus normal collapsible lens made for LTM M39 thread mount 35mm rangefinder cameras by Leica starting in 1957. It gradually overtook the older 50mm f3.5 Elmar as the standard lens for the Leica thread mount system. It uses E39 screw-in filters and the ITOOY, IROOA, or 12585 lens hood. The distance scale is either in meters (11512) or in feet (11012). Metal body available in silver (ELMOO / 11512 / 11012).
