Autofocus AF mount 35mm SLR released by Minolta in 1998. It features a record-breaking maximum mechanical shutter speed of 1/12000s as well as weather sealing. It was also sold as the Maxxum 9 (NA) and a-9 (JP). Metal body available in black.
